***Quick Tips***
- never give out personal details when online - if you have to give a name, use a nickname
- never give out full name, email address, home address, mobile number or school name
- do not share photographs online where you or your friends can be identified
- parents keep the computer in a family room so you can see what your child is viewing
- spam and junk messages are not true, do not reply or send them onto anyone else
- remind your child to show a trusted adult a message that upsets them
- remind your child that an online friend is not someone they have met in real life
- talk to your child about what they are doing online and ask them to show you how to use sites that you may not know how to use.
